1. Dolaucothi Goldmines

Dolaucothi is a mist visit when in the area. Guided tours take you back to experience the conditions of the Roman, Victorian and 1930s underground workings.

Myddfai Community Hall and Visitor Centre (including cafe) is in the heart of the picturesque village of Myddfai, three miles from Llandovery.

2. Dan yr Ogof Caves
Abercrave, Swansea, SA9 1GJ
There are 10 attractions all covered on the one entry ticket - with plenty to see for all ages. The 3 different caves Dan-yr-Ogof, Cathedral Cave and Bone Cave each offer a unique underground experience.

5. Ffos Las Racecourse
Trimsaran, Carmarthenshire, SA17 4DE
Being the first racecourse to open in the UK for 80 years. The venue now boasts, conservation areas, beautiful lakes, bridle ways and The Diamond Jubilee tree plantation along with the racecourse.

3. Dylan Thomas Boathouse
Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, SA33 4SD
Even if the poet, writer and broadcaster Dylan Thomas (1914-1953) hadn’t lived at the Boathouse in Laugharne for the last four years of his tragically short life, it is a truly remarkable place to visit.

6. Gwili Railway
Bronwydd Arms Station, Carmarthen, SA33 6HT
Take a trip on the Gwili Steam Railway, the line is currently 4.8 miles taking in a journey of just over an hour return. Sit back and watch the countryside pass you buy.
